Established in 1960, Visvesvaraya National of Technology (VNIT) is in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. The college is among the country’s 31 NITs and the top engineering schools. Additionally being a top engineering school, the National Institutes of Technology Act of 2007 established it as the Institute that is of national importance, after it was changed to VNIT as of 2002.
